摘要

Field trials of digital terrestrial sound broadcasting were launched in Tokyo and Osaka in October 2003. The Association of Radio Industries and Businesses (ARIB) has announced operational guidelines for digital terrestrial sound broadcasting with respect to data broadcasting. However, guidelines for the mobile profile for vehicles have not been specified yet. This paper proposes a data broadcasting service architecture compatible with car navigation systems and telematics services as a means of assuring excellent information legibility and ease of use, even if the types of display and user interface of in-vehicle devices differ. Results of verification tests conducted with a prototype system have confirmed that the proposed architecture is feasible.
