摘要

A floating liner device equipped with special optical glass window liner was developed in this study to measure the piston friction force and the piston slap vibration, skirt oil film behavior at the same time aiming at clarifying the relation of each. Oil film behavior on the piston skirt was observed by using the fluorescence technique and high speed video camera. With this set up, the strong relations between the piston friction force and the skirt oil film behavior around compression top dead center were found out. Analysis of relation in different to piston design and pin-offset were also carried out in this paper.
