In the 1st report, the kinetic equations are derived by taking "the equivalent cornering power that includes the compliance coefficient in considering the location of instantaneous center as a parameter. The adverse/proverse compliance steer (CS) that increases/decreases the side-slip angle versus the velocity vector of vehicle is defined. The adverse/proverse CS is realized by locating the instantaneous center rearward/forward of the axle. In this 2nd report, the design methodology of on-center regulation performance is introduced and verified using AR-model scheme. By designing the front/rear wheel CS as a proverse/adverse CS with nonlinear compliance that is large at on-center but small at off-center, vehicle characteristics to reduce lateral deviation caused by disturbance and improve tracking performance are possible.
