The ICARE2 code is developed by IPSN as a tool for calculating severe cor edegradation in PWRs. The aim is to provide a mechanistic analysis of fuel rods heat-up, cladding oxidation, debris bed formation, molten corium relocation, chemical interactions, hydrogen release, FP release and lower head integrity.
