摘要

The use of nickel in electrochemistry is longstanding.Nickel,as a relatively cheap material,has been used as anode in battery and alkaline water electrolyte.In alkaline solution,the material surface is covered with a film of nickel hydroxide and it has a strong electrochemical property as the following mechanism:Ni(OH)_2 +e centre dot NiOOH +H~+ Alcohol is not easy to be anodically oxidized in aqueous solution because of the high oxidation potential.
