ZrO_2-CeO_2-YO_(1.5) solid solutions have lower ionic conductivity than yttria stabilized zirconia(YSZ ) or yttria doped ceria(YDC)[l].On the other hand,the surface catalytic activity for oxygen exchange reaction is promoted in the [(ZrO_2)_(1-x)(CeO_2)_x]_(0.9)(Y_2O_3)_(0.1) (ZCY,x = 0.1 approx 1) solid solutions[2].The surface catalytic activity is related to the physical properties of these solid solutions.One of the most important properties is the ionic and the electronic conductivity.
