摘要

The state of corrosion of steel in a reinforced concrete structure with 40 years service life in a mediterranean marine environment has been studied by application of the linear polarization resistance method and several auxiliary techniques. The instantaneous corrosion rate of reinforcement in this structure seems to be largely controlled by the moisture content of concrete. The relations of corrosion rate with other variables such as corrosion potential and chloride content of concrete are also discussed.
