摘要

The structure of the metallic sintered powder materials is made from a powder particles mass and a pores ensemble. The pores, characterized by size, shape, location and orientation participate to the material fracture initiation. They will influence the material behavior at different solicitation. It was observed that the impurities and the pores constitute genuine stress concentration influencing the fatigue strength and the fracture initial place, as well as its propagation through the material. The porosity together with the size and shape of the pores depend on the compacting and sintering conditions. This paper is a study of the way in which the pores shape, size, location and orientation influence the fatigue behavior of these materials.
