The extending of tungsten property spectrum has been made by development of so-called heavy alloys (THAs), too. THAs represents an apart category of materials that have in common, besides a majoritar tungsten content (usually higher than 50 vol.% W), PM-specifically technology, that includes the liquid phase sintering. This kind of sintering assures the attaining of sintered products with a nearly full density. The selecting of adding elements for W is of greatest importance to obtain a high THA density and high properties level. In the literature there are a lot of valuable information about composition, properties and processing of THAs. But it cannot find a comparison of different THA systems from the point of view of elemental systems, of final properties spectrum of sintered materials, as well as of that of advantageous and disadvantageous of their technologies. It is the goal of the present work to complete partially this lack.
