The Geothermal Potential of Crump Geyser in Warner Valley, Lake County, Oregon

The geothermal potential in Warner Valley has been recognizedsince June 1959, when Magma Power Company drilled a geothermal exploration well that erupted creating the infamous Crump Geyser, now only intermittently active. Recently, Nevada Geothermal Power Company Inc. has renewed the geothermal interest in Warner Valley by commissioning continued exploration activities to further develop this geothermal potential. The primary geothermal target is centered on the Crump Geyser and defined by a cluster of hot geothermal springs with the most pristine geothermal fluids as determined by water geochemical analysis, subsurface structural features indicated by a ground magnetic survey, and a large 6km~(2) conductive anomaly outlined by a resistivity survey.
