摘要

The present work deals with ~(57)Co-M6ssbauer spectroscopy and radiation doses. We have taken into consideration two opposite sides of the technique, simplifying we could call them the "producer" and "consumer" faces of the method. In the context of radiation safety, Mossbauer spectroscopy is a "producer" of radiation doses since it makes use of radioactive sources. On the other side, Mossbauer spectroscopy can also be viewed as a "consumer" since it can be used to measure the effective radiation dose that has been absorbed by a medium after irradiation by x-rays or gamma-rays (radiations to measure radiation doses). This will be shown in the last part of the present paper.
