Introduction: Tinnitus as a diagnostic and therapeutic difficult issue is cause of seeking newer and newer methods to improvement of patient mood. Authors made the goal to reveal value of SET in the reduction or the complete suppression of tinnitus. Materials and Methods: Studied population consisted of 42 patients with persistent tinnitus divided into two groups. The first group was treated of SET whilst the second group was performed the same procedure but without electrical stimulation Effects after therapy were estimated based on subjective and objective methods. Results: Tinnitus was reduced or subsided in many patients. Objective examinations (BERA, AWMP) sometimes revealed shortness of latency and especially increased amplitude. Mainly just after SET TOAE and DPOAE had increased amplitude. These no noted in the most patients from placebo group.
