摘要

A short period undulator for the x-ray free electron laser project at SPring-8 has been developed. It has several important features different from other SPring-8 undulators: more compact mechanical frame, 4-block-unified magnet unit and pure permanent magnet with 45-degree inclined easy axis. The procedure of field correction are described and results of them are shown in terms of the orbit deviation, phase error, and FEL gain with numerical simulations.
