Vinyl ester resins (VE), which are mixtures of styrene and methacrylated epoxy compounds, give high performance composites at low cost and these nanocomposites have found military and commercial applications due to good toughness, excellent chemical resistance and high stability in mechanical properties. The polymerization reaction proceeds by free radical chain growth.
