Vaccination against Enteric Red Mouth (ERM) is commonly used in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) farming to reduce the impact of this bacterial disease. Protection given by vaccination is not always complete and quite often does not last throughoutthe whole production cycle. In order to provide a higher and longer lasting protection against Yersinia ruckerii the immune response of rainbow trout juveniles following vaccination should be as high as possible, which may require specific nutritional strategies. Sanoguard~R Aquastim-F is an immunostimulating dietary supplement containing a blend of natural sources of immune-enhancing components and a balanced boost of essential nutrients as anti-oxidants, nucleotides and essential amino acids. Its effects as a vaccination adjuvant have been evaluated through molecular markers.
