摘要

It is well known that formaldehyde is an indoor air pollutant gas caused the sick building syndrome. The guideline concentration of formaldehyde in indoor air is regulated at 80ppbv by the Ministry of Heaslth, Labor and Welfare in Japan. Therefore, simple and convenient method is required for measuring formaldehyde in indoor air. While DNPH(2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine)/HPLC or DNPH/GC method has been generally used for the measurement of formaldehyde, it is not suitable for on-site analysis. Because analytical instruments such as HPLC and GC are expensive and need to be set in a laboratory. In this study, we developed miniature diffusion scrubber which was able to collect pollution gases into only 1ml of absorption solution. And then, we investigated the convenient measurement method for air pollutant gases such as formaldehyde using miniature diffusion scrubber combined with a simple LED-PM (light Emitting Diode-Photometer).
