Oxidation of methane to synthesis gas was studied on the oxides of metals of variable valence (Co, Mn,La, Ce, Cr and Ni) supported on the optimal carrier - ? -Al2O3. Among the catalysts tested, the best isthe 3% Ni / α - Al2O3 sample. The influence of modifying additives (MoO3, La2O3) in the compositionof 3% NiO / γ- Al2O3 catalyst in the reaction of dry reforming of methane was studied. On the mostefficient 3% NiO-MoO3 / α - Al2O3 catalyst at optimal process parameters (T = 850° C, W = 1000 h-1and CH4: CO2: O2: H2O = 2: 1: 0.5: 1) concentration of target products are: H2 -59 vol.% and CO-33vol.%, conversion of methane - 98%. Introduction of lanthanum or molybdenum oxides into the 3% NiO/ α -Al2O3 catalyst increases its activity and resistance to coke formation.
