In today's corporate world, where businesses, academic institutions, for profit and/or non profit organization and, governments are becoming more and more global, a demonstrated ability to work together in teams across cultural boundaries, age, and discipline is becoming an essential element on anybody development process. Organizations are more than ever in need of trained individuals with technical, human and conceptual skills. The University of Washington has developed a Team Certificate Program that engages students from different age group, disciplines, and countries with real life problem to influence. This approach focus on the depth as well as the breath of the knowledge that need to be covered, in the classroom setting where the depth of student "A" is the breath of the student "B" and vice versa. Allowing students to learn from experts on the issues involved. At the same time students do their experiences through a university wide laboratories environment to build prototypes, allowing them to learn in a protected academic environment. Conventional established ways of working are being challenged more than ever, and individual effort is being replaced by an insistence on team effort, the Team Certificate Program focus on heterogeneity, global, compete and collaborate, skills necessary for leaders and their teams who's major part of the work is being done at the interfaces between their company and suppliers, or different teams of the same company. The purpose of the presentation will be to focus on Teaming activities at the University of Washington. With a "Process Administration" philosophy that creates a truly interdisciplinary program at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional levels. The subject will be explored from several different perspectives, including cultural, philosophical and legal, in global network environment.
