10NiO-NiFe{sub}2O{sub}4 composite ceramic inert anodes with the additive CaO content of 0, 0.5, 1, 2 and 4%(by weight) were prepared and their corrosion resistance to Na{sub}3AlF{sub}6-K{sub}3AlF{sub}6-Al{sub}2O{sub}3 melts was studied in laboratory electrolysis tests. The results show that the content of additive CaO in ceramic inert anodes has great effects on the concentration of impurities in electrolyte. The addition of the oxide CaO to ceramic inert anode is adverse to improve its corrosion resistance. The additive CaO existed in the grain boundary accelerates the corrosion of ceramic inert anode.
