Glass fiber reinforced composites (GFRP) are advantage on improving mechanical performances of thermoplastic and thermosetting materials. The composites have been widely used in automotive, sport, houseware and builing construction. Life time of GFRP is longer than unreinforced polymer materials, However, crack or defect on the GFRP could be occurred, which would drop their mechanical properties. Fracture toughness of polymer composites is introduced for determining their failure behavior. In this study, glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic and thermosetting composites were fabricated. The effects of notched on tensile properties, fracture behavior and morphology of the composites were investigated.
