摘要

The majority of existing robust design models assume that input factors are continuous. In today's complex engineering systems, however, combined discrete-continuous factors are often used for the product and process design. In this paper, we propose a mixed-integer based robust design model in the context of response surface design. We then show how the genetic algorithm can be used for solving this particular robust design problem.
