摘要

From the viewpoint of natural environmental requirement, the applications of biodegradable oils are growing. The vegetable oils are biodegradable and have good lubricating performance. The types of fatty acids in triglycerides appear to control the main lubricating performance [1]. In vegetable oils, however, the optimum suppression of oxidative degradation is required to improve the longevity. Therefore, it is required to clarify the actual lubrication mechanism in vegetable oils with appropriate antioxidant additives. The effect of fatty acid was examined using paraffinic oils with fatty acid. The influence of operating conditions on lubricating performance is discussed.
