Phase transformation of the β-metastable titanium alloy Ti17 was studied using in situ high energy X-ray diffraction (XRD) experiments conducted at ESRF Grenoble (line ID15B) and leads to the phase amount evolutions during continuous heating and during cooling in isothermal and anisothermal conditions. The cell parameters of each phase were determined simultaneously. Results of transformation kinetics are analysed and compared to kinetics measured by electrical resistivity, showing a good correlation between both methods. The cell parameters characterization revealed non linear behaviour of the phases. In addition a 3D characterization of the transformed α{sub}(GB) and α{sub}(WGB) morphologies is given.
