The present paper deals with the synthesis and characterization of ET(Fe)S-10 containing organic compounds. The synthesis of the ET(Fe)S-10 molecular sieves was obtained from systems having the following general mole composition: a Na_2O-0.6 KF-b TiO_2-0.03 Fe_2O_3-1.28aHCl-c TAABr-1.49SiO_2-39.5H_2O, where TAA (tetralkylammonium) is one of the following compounds: tetramethyl-(TMA), tetraethyl-(TEA), tetrapropyl-(TPA) or tetrabutylammonium (TBA) and a, b, and c are three coefficients ranging as follows: 1.0 < a < 1.5; 0.0 < b < 0.25; c = 0; 0.03. The effect of composition of the reaction mixture on the synthesis of ETS-10, the kinetic parameters, the morphology, size and composition of the crystals was thoroughly studied. The role played by the organic compounds in the reaction mechanism is at last suggested.
