This work is devoted to EPR study of the magnetic iron centers created in strontium fluoride crystals. The crystals under investigation were grown using the Bridgman method. It was found that iron ions could be inserted into the SrF_2 crystal lattices only if the growing atmosphere contained some quantity of the fluorine gas. Under certain conditions two groups of the centers could be synthesized in the SrF_2 crystals which had been activated by iron (SrF_2:Fe).
