摘要

There are new powertrain control opportunities by using a powerful and dynamic electric motor in the drive train of a range extender with a mechanical link from the combustion engine to the wheels. The different driving modes such as electric drive, serial and parallel hybrid mode require new control functions for the shifting of the 2-speed automatic transmission and the transitions between the driving modes. In particular, the parallel hybrid mode allows a new type of torque distribution and thus the dynamic driving conditions. The current development state of the GETRAG Boosted Range Extender will be explained in this paper. The new control functions will be shown based on different drive modes. Also the ability to use this concept under daily driving conditions will be described.
