摘要

The principal strain estimation in ME was tested as well as validated against that in MRI tagging (tMRI) in normal and pathological human subjects, showing the robustness of principal strains when comparing estimates across different imaging modalities. These preliminary clinical results show that ME can obtain strain estimates of similar accuracy and quality to tMRI techniques, at higher spatial and temporal resolution and lower cost. In spite of the strain discrepancy, the classified principal strains are proven to be independent of the reference coordinate systems used in different imaging modalities. Ongoing work focuses on exact image registration and study of the tradeoff between spatial resolution and strain accuracy.
