The increasing amount of toxic waste is a serious ecological hazard. There is a great number of solid toxic and radioactive waste processing technologies, but the most affective waste treatment and material destruction can be achieved with high-temperature processing that result in chemically, thermally and radioactive stable forms such as glass or ceramics. For the purpose of having high-stable forms of inorganic part of waste it is promising to use low temperature plasma. The process of waste treatment is characterized by a significant reduction of waste, small volume of exhaust gases and considerably decreasing of radioactive nuclide carryover for radioactive waste.
