The Muy Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Farmaceuticos de Valencia (Official Association of Pharmacists ) was founded in 1441 and one of it's tasks was to establish the required knowledge and business practises for the lawful exercise of the pharmacy service and to consider pharmacists for obtaining their qualification. It was at the same time a professional association and a university. In the course of time, the task of training the future pharmacists has been transferred to the academic institutions, but the association, has never renounced to maintaining it's training task now targeted to the continued training of postgraduates.
