摘要

Product Development (PD) is becoming significant to business demands for new product. PD is a complex and dynamic process that cannot be managed along a single dimension. This paper illustrates that traditional Project Management (PM) approaches are limited for a robust PD application. It necessitates a modified PM model to deal with intricacies of PD process. This paper describes a modified PERT model application to manage the on-time delivery associated with the PD process. The advantage of this model is its ability to meet delivery in the uncertain environment by either reducing the variance in the current process or improving the efficiency of the current process.
