摘要

A new steelmaking process that limestone partly replaces the active lime in BOF has been recently applied in China in order to decrease the cost and promote low-carbon and energy-saving metallurgy. However, the substitution ratio of limestone instead of active lime and its influencing factors are not clear. On the basic of the analysis of mass and energy balance in the BOF process, the substitution ratio was investigated. The results show that the substitution ratio increases with the increase of hot metal temperature and carbon content, and the reduce of the loaded weight of scrap and the tapping temperature. The effect of silicon content in hot metal on the substitution ratio of limestone is complicated. When the carbon content is higher than 3.7%, the substitution ratio decreases with silicon content increasing. When the carbon content is lower than 3.7%, the substitution ratio increases with silicon content rising.
