A three-dimensional numerical simulation of transient fluid flow field during the solidification processes for high speed continuous casting slab has been developed to predict the solidification front capturing the inclusions at different casting speed and the distribution of the inclusions at the different location in the inner surface layer for high speed process has been given. The motion behavior of non-metallic inclusions which are more than 50μm has been simulated and visually displayed. The results show that the total number and average diameter of the captured inclusions increase when the casting speed is lower than 0.0233m/s, and keep or decrease when the casting speed is higher than 0.0233m/s. The total mass of the captured inclusions has little increase when the casting speed increase.
