摘要

This paper presents an advanced simulation model for thermoelectric elements that considers the chemical potential and carrier density variation. The characteristics of the thermoelectric power generator and their relationship to thermoelectric performance are concluded under high temperature regions. By accounting for the mechanisms that are typically ignored or simplified in the existing models, this new model provides more holistic descriptions on the thermoelectric power generator behaviors and therefore potentially will further improve the accuracy in the computational simulations.
