@@Since "Kaihua Dragon-top" tea was awarded with national famous tea in 1985, it has won the gold medal for 53 times, e.g. gold medal of China International Agricultural Fair and the China International Tea Fair, and medals of the provincial-level or above. It is appraised as "one of the top ten regional common brands of China" and "one of ten top famous tea of Zhejiang Province". Moreover, it respectively gained the "Japan Grand Award", "International Famous Tea Gold Award" in the international competitions organized in Japan and Korea. It is honored as "famous brand product of Zhejiang Province", "famous trademark of Zhejiang Province" consecutively. It was designated as a special tea used by Organizing Committee of "2003's China-Japan-Korea International Weightlifting Competition" and the State Forestry Bureau and also presented to guests by China Central Television (CCTV). In 2007 the output of Kaihua Dragon-top tea reached 10137.6 ton, making a total production value about 402 million yuan, in which famous tea 1288 ton with production value of 232 million yuan. Their output is three times as that of 10 years ago respectively, while the total production value increased by four times. The production value of tea industry accounts for nearly 1/5 of the agricultural GDP of Kaihua County.
