Today problems of resource economy are the most actual and acute, that's why the question concerning the implementation of technologies minimizing material costs in manufacture rises more often [1, 2]. One of the most relevant tendencies is full use of the equipment resource with its maintainability and production safety keeping, that's why systems for diagnostics of rolling stock units' technical state play an important role in manufacturing process. Ones of the most important and significant units of rolling stock are pantographs, because their divergence from normative values results in current collection fault and damage of contact system, and this has an influence on safety of movement.
