Because of the controllability of both the amplitude and phase spectra, broadband uncorrelated Vibroseis data are ideally suited to study the effect of attenuation and velocity dispersion on the Vibroseis correlation process. They are also suited to study the linkage between reservoir petrophysics and seismic properties, such as velocity dispersion and frequency- dependent attenuation coefficient.
