摘要

The presence data shows that under UV-radiation MCPA concentrations in water reduced in 89-99%. Efficiency of photolysis depends on UV-sources and time of irradiation. The chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis showed that the first stage of MCPA phototransformation and biodegradation was the formation of 4-chloro-2-methylphenol. Respiration activity of active sludge shows that photoproducts are not toxic for microorganisms. Non-halogenated photoproducts were completely utilized during subsequent biodegradation.
