In the line with processes in Latvia to facilitate the decrease of disability among persons in working age and develop disability evaluation criteria based on principles of ICF there was interest to explore the current situation on effectiveness of treatment and rehabilitation services as prerequisites to decrease the consequences of stroke. Disability Expertise documents for 287 disabled persons were analyzed concerning disease, received treatment and rehabilitation and disability severity. The main functional limitations in the beginning of rehabilitation were limitations of stamina, paresis and mobility restrictions. The changes in FIM scores shoved improvement of functional status during the rehabilitation. Results have indicative meaning about functional limitations after stroke and role of rehabilitation in decreasing disability as study had several limitations.
