Feasibility Study and Simulation of B Pillar Made of QP Steel

摘要

Q&P steel is one of the third generation AHSS (advanced high strength steel) with better mechanical properties than DP steel, Q&P steel has great potential in industry application. From the drawing test of the typical automobile part B pillar, it is observed that fracture and wrinkle happened when using the Q&P steel to form the B pillar with original drawing process. The corresponding results can be gained when simulating the drawing process with the help of DYNAFORM. Improvement of the original process is proposed through the analysis of the main processing parameters.
