Metals like zinc and copper have conventionally been used as impregnants on activated carbon (AC) to improve its ability to remove toxic gases. The lack of scientific literature on adsorption from concentrated solutions has made us to work on the adsorption of high concentrations of zinc chloride, which was identified as a preferentially adsorbing salt.
