Searching for information need through the World Wide Web results in a large list of search results that contain only a handful of useful pages. In such a dynamic environment it is difficult to capture the user preferences and interests without interfering with the normal activity of the user. Also finding pages on the Web that are similar to a query is an important component of modern search engines. This insight has led to the utilization of personalization and as a result a personalized environment for the user to search for their information need has been developed. To improve user searching in the World Wide Web, a system that supports user searches by learning about user preferences and by observing responses to prior search experiences aided by a new index called the User Conceptual Index (UCI) has been proposed. This paper is directly focused on the evaluation of the results of individual user's UCI based search and introduces three measures for this purpose. The UCI based search for individual user shows significant improvement in the search results, which is confirmed by traditional IR evaluation measures.
