A regional laboratory key comparison has been carried out between nine national metrology laboratories in the Asia-Pacific Region including NMISA. As travelling standard a step attenuator of type HP8496H was used. The participants measured the quantity attenuation for various attenuation steps up to 100 dB at two frequencies. Provisional results in form of a draft A report have been released to the participants in September 2009. They show generally good agreement between the laboratories. The paper describes in detail the measurement set-up that was used by the NMISA. Diagrams show the deviation of the NMISA results from the Key Comparison Reference Value (KCRV) at each frequency. This intercomparison was a follow-up exercise to the CCEM.RF-K19.CL where NMISA participated as well.
