This research reviews relevant technological innovation theories (TPB, TRA, TAM, DOI) in order to develop a theoretical framework which could be used to explain the adoption, usage and intentions to adopt mobile and wireless commerce/business technologies (MWT) in small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in New Zealand (NZ). The research is also interested to identify salient features of the adoption and usage patterns of MWT application in the business environment of NZ SMEs. Relevant, reliable and valid factors were introduced in the research model and they were hypothesized to influence MWT adoption and usage significantly. The developed model is of interest to SMEs, professionals, researchers and policymakers interested in the MWT area in SMEs in NZ and elsewhere.
