摘要

The usage of Remote Sensing technology and Geographical Information System supplies an approach to depict urbanization with an appropriate resolution. In this study, the Linear Spectral Mixing Model was used to divide the composition in each pixel of remote sensing data. The concept model of Linear Spectral Mixing Model is the vegetation-impervious-soil model. The impervious surface area derived by the model is used to describe the urbanization characteristics in Shenzhen, China. The degree and the increasing rate of impervious surface area are used as the indices for urban developing zoning. The results show that the urbanization has been complicated with fluctuated process. The urbanization degree has been increased in the urban level during 1986 to 2005. However, there are spatial differences between the twenty four streets.
