The economic and social changes which are in progress all over the world inevitably bring their influence to bear on the turns of sponsorship of the system of health care. In these latter years the government of many countries has been confronted with the problem of price and expense rise of health care services. The expenses of health care services are constantly rising thus there is the result of society obsolescence and the plenty of chronic disease and disablement cases. The price increase of health care services has been determined by the plenty of the most advanced medical technologies and their usage in medical operations and constantly rising consumers' needs for the quality and quantity of rendered health care services. The effective cost control provides facilities for the increase of health care service supply by using present health care service institution budgets more effectively. The aim of this article is to traverse the sponsorship impact of the system of health care on the supply of health care services in Lithuania from 2004 to 2009.
