China since ancient times is mostly agricultural, with a lot of the country's population , Now more than half the country residential building is still in the vast rural areas. Along with the global "a low carbon economy" coming of age, To search the low consumption and no pollution building in the use of rural area became the focus issue. In this paper the author studies traditional settlements and the residence in hehuang area of qinghai province, Explore XunHuaXian the ecological view and building energy efficiency renewable energy technologies of the residence, These are not only the traditional architectural wisdom and it is the regional characteristic performance, It can provide valuable experience in the construction of new countryside for the surrounding area.
