Tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA) and hexabromocyclododecane diastereoisomers (α-,β-and γ-HBCD) were measured in 7 sediment samples from Hai River.The concentrations of total HBCDs ranged from 2.6 to 670 μg kg-1 Dry Weight.TBBPA was at levels of 6.0 μg kg-1 Dry Weight.γ-HBCD dominated isomeric profiles in the sediment,and concentrations were up to 520 μg kg-1 Dry Weight.α-HBCD was at minor concentrations,while β-HBCD was at concentrations below the limits of detection of the applied methodologies.This study showed that HBCDs are ubiquitous in Hai River.TBBPA was present in all samples at low levels relative to the HBCDs.
