摘要

This paper deals with the history of using Maple T.A. in education at the Vienna University of Technology. Almost every course offered by the modelling and simulation department of the university is supported by an e-learning tool. This department offers not only modelling and simulation courses but also mathematical courses. The mathematical education of the students of electrical engineering includes an e-learning support as well. This system is called Maple T.A. and is offered in the resfreshment course and the basic and advanced mathematical courses. In all of these courses Maple T.A. is used to help the students to understand the content of the lecture. Additionally it is an online tool therefore it offers the possibility to practice when ever the students want to. This system also supports the lecturer with the organisation and administration of tests. Maple T.A. is a time saving and useful improvement.
