This paper presents a study of the coverage area of a wireless system in oil fields located in the city of Mossoro, Brazil. With the measurement campaigns, the necessary data for the application of the spatial interpolation methods that provide contour maps with the distribution of the RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) levels in the study scenario were collected. Cross-validation was used to compare and evaluate the methods, as it establishes the precision criterion for estimation errors. The results showed that the spline method showed the smallest deviations between the measured and calculated values.
