摘要

Steric stabilization resulting from polymer chains on CNC surfaces can also be used to manipulate interactions among CNC particles. As two modified CNC particles approach each other, the polymer chains overlap, causing an increase in osmotic pressure and steric repulsion. To exert strong repulsion between two CNC particles, polymer chains should be tightly connected to CNC at a single point and also freely extend into the medium.
